There is a need to give greater protection to non -registered heritage assets. Wilmslow residents want Lindow Moss to become a registered heritage asset as well as being an SSSI.

Buffer zones are required to protect heritage assets.

Conservation areas are vital to maintaining the historic development of areas be they urban, or rural. Given the pace of developments brought by the rush to build, it is important that CEC speeds up the process of approving and registering the conservation areas being sought by Town and Parish Councils through their NPs.

If Jodrell Bank still fulfils an important role in space communication and research then current protection needs to remain in place. This calls upon National funding. If not, then it needs to become a registered heritage asset.

Absolutely. If CEC is to remain in control of its future planning then the evidence base needs to be robust and up to date. Annual reviews are a must. It is not at all helpful in keeping apace with government targets if housing figures are 12 months out of date.

The ARUP audit of sites was very significant to the allocation of sites to the current LP. It likely identified sites to remove from the Green Belt this time round. However, the emphasis today needs to be on selection of brownfield sites and thereafter upon grey.

Infrastructure planning needs to be ahead of need with timescales.

Flooding and required infrastructure is a priority need.
