The respondents object to the land between Mayfield Road, Springfield Road, Rycroft Road and Pavement Lane at Mobberley being considered for development, citing aircraft noise from Manchester Airport, Green Belt importance, environmental impacts and inadequate infrastructure. They argue the site makes a major contribution to maintaining separation between Mobberley and Knutsford and should not be classified as Grey Belt. Concerns include flooding and waterlogging, loss of wildlife habitat and recreational footpaths, and development impacts on narrow, unlit and poorly maintained roads. They also highlight limited bus and rail services and argue that substantial transport assessment and infrastructure improvements would be necessary before significant additional development could be accommodated.
