What will we do when we need more housing post 2040? Weakening protection on green belt is unsustainable short-termism. A radical rethink on housing use is required, apartments as 1st time homes/retirement homes.
Annexes on exhisting homes making them more versatile.

A policy to provide grants to home owners toward the cost of constructing annexes for elderly relatives, would increase the value of current housing stock, decrease the pressure on wildlife habitat and greenbelt and provide a more sustainable approach to the challenge of one cause of housing shortages, which is likely to get increasingly influential.

No irreplaceable habitat types should be in the Local Plan. Sites of ecological impotance require buffer zones and conectivity, in the form of wildlife corridors. As one of the most nature depleted countries, in the entire world, we must halt the decline in biodiversity.
