> I am emailing to raise concerns over potential development in the village of Adlington, Cheshire.
> I strongly oppose any building being erected on green belt habitat. The green belt is irreplaceable and provides the home to precious wild life and our farming community.
> We must consider utilising all brown field spaces, derelict buildings or change of use of existing buildings as a priority for any house builds.
> Any development around Adlington must not be assessed on a site by site basis as the cumulative impact of multi sites has to be fully measured.
> I do not believe that Cheshire East has a five year housing plan.
> A statement is urgently needed to council tax payers advising accordingly.
> For any future development, can cheshire east demonstrate that we have sufficient infrastructure prior to any development considerations ?
> Ie roads without congestion.
> Roads without pot holes.
> Sewage and waste services. Houses in Adlington are still using septic tanks.
> Emergency services. We can’t even staff local fire engines at Poynton and Bollington currently.
> GP surgeries. Already huge wait times.
> Schools. Already at capacity.
> Bus services. Infrequent.
> Pavements. Limited due to our rural location.
> Brownfield sites have to be a priority with all sites utilised fully by Cheshire East.
> Re use of empty buildings. Why on earth did Cheshire East close Vernon infant school in Poynton nearly 20 years ago to which is now on the open market for sale ?
> Re develop this into housing !
> I want to see that all brown field sites have been fully assessed.
> Our productive farmland has to be protected as an integral part of the Adlington community.
> We need separation between settlements to which is home to our endangered wild life habitants.
> The protection of our wild life and food chain is of huge importance.
> We already have major issues with the climate and local flooding. Cheshire east can’t even keep the current road gulleys and drains serviced.
> Is there a genuine need for development in Adlington. I don’t believe there is.
> The whole borough needs a full evaluation for brown field sites to be utilised.
> We cannot and should not consider the irreplaceable green belt as an option for and build programme.
