Hi there,
I just wanted to register my concerns about further expansion towards Henbury village near Macclesfield.
We are very close to losing our village. We are now 2 fields away from being consumed by the town and surely planning has to protect communities. To come any further would consume a village that has been here since the doomsday book.
Just as worryingly, we have no infrastructure. The schools are full. The local high school cannot brûle any more - it’s run out of land. The local Tesco express is acting like a superstore with regular traffic jams back out into the roundabout and main road. The main road not backs up through the village from Macclesfield to the broken cross lights, over a mile. The air pollution is frighteningly dangerous as the last tests proved when results were manipulated to approve one of the latest developments. There are three ways into the village, the roads wide enough for only one car to pass - we simply cannot add more cars to the roads without major road expansion.
What works is smaller developments on brownfield sites. Old farms being converted to housing. Old pubs and so on.
