We are completely against the Parish Council of High Legh having to assign land within High Legh for potential development in Cheshire East.
We do not believe that the village has the required infrastructure to support such future developments and buildings
• Minimal bus links, no train links, therefore very limited "Connectivity"
• Utilities – this area has regular power cuts and very low water pressure.
• There are no GP or medical services.
• Many local roads are narrow and often ‘poorly surfaced’ regularly needing repairs with existing traffic.
• When there are issues on the M6 the A50 becomes excessively busy, the village again becomes further congested. High Legh roads are already frequently utilised as a shortcut to other areas.
Adjacent to one of the ‘proposed’ areas for development a fishing pond exists, supporting wildlife which thrives on the pond’s conditions. Developments would adversely affect aquatic eco systems. Newts and Woodpeckers have been observed.
With future potential developments there will be more noise pollution, more environmental pollution, more light pollution, more traffic congestion and the unnecessary destruction of Green Belt, lost forever.
We hope that Cheshire East will firmly reject any proposed new developments/buildings in this village.
