Local plan scoping consultation

I note that the parcel of land identified in the attached information has been put forward for consideration as part of the Local Plan for Wilmslow.
I would like to bring to your attention a significant issue regarding access to this land. The proposed access route runs through Harefield Farm and across privately owned land, where access is restricted.
The owners of the land, [personal information redacted], have repeatedly sought to establish access across this private land. However, they have been formally advised, through legal representation, that they have no legal right of access.
We are providing you with this information now to ensure that the Council is fully aware of the position and does not spend unnecessary time or resources considering an access route that is not legally available. The residents are willing to provide copies of the relevant legal correspondence should this be required.
For the avoidance of doubt, if this parcel of land, or any proposed access to it, forms any part of the Local Plan, the residents will have no alternative but to consider taking legal action against the Council to protect their rights and interests.
We would therefore ask that this matter is taken into account before any further consideration is given to the inclusion of this land within the Local Plan.
