I am writing to express my strong objections to your recent plans for development and building work in the village of Alsager. [REDACTED].
My wife and I have lived here for five years, having purchased a home on [REDACTED]. A major selling point for us was the assurance that there were no plans to build on the surrounding fields, as we deeply value the quiet village life and the countryside atmosphere. We regularly walk our dog along the tracks and fields behind our property, and this open space is central to our quality of life.
We feel that a development of this scale will fundamentally change the character of Alsager, turning a countryside village into an overdeveloped town and ruining the area's community feel.
Furthermore, we have serious concerns regarding the infrastructure required to support the influx of new residents. There appears to be a lack of clear planning for the additional doctors' surgeries, schools, and essential services needed to accommodate this growth. The current infrastructure is already stretched and cannot support such a significant increase in population.
The current proposals seem to disregard why residents choose to live in this village. Past developments, such as the industrial units at the front of the village, now sit empty due to poor planning, and we do not wish to see further mismanaged expansion.
I urge you to reconsider these development plans and protect the integrity of our village.
