Dear Sirs/Madams
Having read through the local plan I feel I must contact you to ask that you reconsider the use of the Danes Moss area, south of Congleton Road, for housing/development. This is such an important ecological site and the destruction of this precious area of peatland would loose such a valuable community space that can never be replaced.
This is an area where with some care and rewetting of the area could be an exciting destination for the local community and visitors where we could show off the important wildlife and habitat that this area gives us. People need such an area of green, open space and it has been proven to improve mental health and well being. It would be a continuation of the Danes Moss Nature Reserve providing an important area for wildlife.
Please, please consider this area carefully and all the wonderful wildlife it supports. Think of our children's future and what they would rather see and how we can be remembered as at least trying to retain some of our true heritage.
