I object to the 291.03-hectare Ashley land submission and believe the 12 contiguous parcels are unsuitable for strategic development. Ashley is a small rural settlement lacking the services, public transport, highways and infrastructure required to support growth of this scale. I believe the land performs important Green Belt functions and should not be considered Grey Belt. Development would also result in the loss of productive agricultural land and cause significant landscape, heritage and ecological impacts. Airport safeguarding, flooding, drainage and utility constraints raise further concerns. I request that the land is classified as unsuitable, unavailable and undeliverable and excluded from future Local Plan allocations.
