I object to further development around Alsager because I believe it would significantly change the village’s countryside character and sense of place. Having lived locally for five years, access to surrounding fields and countryside was an important reason for choosing to live here. I am also concerned that existing infrastructure would be unable to accommodate a substantial increase in population, particularly schools, doctors and other essential services. I believe the scale of proposed development risks making Alsager more urban and undermining the qualities valued by existing residents. I am also concerned about previous development and empty industrial units and ask that the proposals are reconsidered.

I am writing to you in regards to your recent plans for building work in the village of Alsager. Me and my Husband have lived in the village for 5 years now and bought a house on [Redacted]. When we purchased the house we were told there were no plans to build on the surrounding fields and this was a huge selling point for us as we enjoy quiet village life and the countryside feel of where we are. We walk our dog down the farmers track and on some of those fields where possible at the back of us, he enjoys his free run time on those fields. We both feel it would change the feeling of the village completely to do so much building work around the area and turn it more into a town, ruining the current feel of the area completely.
Our other big concern is the inferstructure to support these people and families that will move to the area, where are the plans for more doctors, schools etc to support this increase? I don't feel as it is currently it could take such a big increase of people atall as what you are planning.
Your plans seem to completely forget why people like living in our VILLAGE (not town). We did not move to a countryside village to have it built upon and expanded to that extent atall.
Not to mention the awful looking last building project of industrial units at the front of our village that are now sat Empty due to bad planning.
