Local plan scoping consultation

This submission to develop Ashley Village is disgraceful, the population in Ashley was 358 at the 2021 census, 1100 additional dwellings would swamp the current local residential and farming community. I do not think updating the existing village school and providing a convenience store will alleviate the situation of the existing population being at least doubled.

What about doctors, dentist or are the residents supposed to use the Train Station that the village already benefits from and which the development seems to rely heavily on.

The road infrastructure in the area is inadequate for this increase of traffic which will be generated by 1100 new properties.

Invaluable habitat and eco systems will be destroyed.

I would be interested to see a map of the grey belt land intended to be used, that already exists and will accommodate 1100 houses. This planning development should be scrutinised under the National Green Belt Test.

Tatton Estate landholdings, have no deep understanding of the local area and sense of responsibility for stewarding future development across its land, otherwise this development would not be entertained.

The long-term potential of 11,000 properties and 490,000 sqm of commercial floorspace, will destroy Ashley Village entirely and the surrounding country side.

I hope that this development will not be judged favourably, it is to large in a small rural village location.
