The respondent objects to the proposed 291-hectare development across 12 contiguous parcels at Ashley. While recognising the need for additional housing, they consider the scale of development inappropriate for a small rural settlement and argue that the land is high-performing Green Belt rather than Grey Belt. Concerns include the loss of productive farmland, limited local services and public transport, and constrained access via narrow bridges. The respondent does not oppose housing development in the area in principle and states that they would support development on a significantly smaller scale.
