Local plan scoping consultation

To whom it may concern.

This email is to bring to your attention our concerns around the plan to build homes in Ashley.

Myself and my family have lived in the village for 20 years. Our children have been brought up in a safe environment, surrounded by nature. We have our village pub and village cricket and we are so proud and protective of this.

If the plan for all these houses go ahead, we are worried that the wildlife that also live in the village with us will lose their habitat, it will damage Ashley irrevocably.

There is not the infrastructure here, the village is made up of lanes and narrow roads that would never cope with the volume of traffic. Where would all these children go to school? There would be increasing pressure on an already stressed Trafford school system and Mobberley primary is stretched beyond capacity.

Ashley lets Altrincham and Knutsford breathe a bit, if all this was built on, would Ashley just become another Greater Manchester suburb?

Ashley consists of working farmland, it is greenbelt land. We are a small parish. We are breathing space. This should not be allowed to go ahead.
