Clear attention needs to be paid to any proposed edge of settlement developments and the connectivity to wider transport and infrastructure. Sandbach in particular cannot sustainably continue to grow without a substantial investment in providing routes around the town centre.

If developers are going to achieve a Biodiversity Net Gain for sites they wish to develop in Cheshire East then the benefit of that BNG must be retained within the authority. We live in an area blessed with a naturally high Biodiversity and this must be protected as once it has gone, it will be very difficult to recover.

Out of town and edge of settlement developments will only increase the pollution from air quality in Cheshire East. Development focus should be on larger urban areas with better public transport links and densification of town centre areas.
