Not protecting & enhancing historical environment...its destroying it. Permanent loss of green belt, urban sprawl. Loss of ancient woodland, destruction of wildlife, threat to endangered species. Loss of village life, I don"t want a town centre..if I did I would move nearer to a town. Loss of access to green space affecting mental health.Transport links poor, train station cannot take capacity. Roads already congested and flooding often.

I disagree with the national policy of changing green belt to grey belt in order to build more houses. Permanent loss of ancient woodland, Cheshire wildlife, threat to endangered species.
This will extend the urban sprawl. Build new houses on existing brownfield sites. The loss of greenbelt would be a disaster to farming, food and rural economy. Increased risk of flooding as removed natural flood defences.

Building on Brownfield sites should be a priority and not using Greenbelt as an easy option to develop..it is valuable farm land which is nowadays considered a cheaper option.

How many more big industrial units the local area need when there are so many unfilled and unused. Lots of bill boards advertising empty units.

The Strategic Environmental Assessments need to be taken very seriously to fully understand the environmental implications of planned developments. The assessments need to be done over at period of at least 2 to 3 years to get a true picture of the impact of any development.

By allowing new housing developments, the characteristics of deeply rural and agricultural land and villages will be destroyed. Areas won't be diverse as it becomes more urbanised. Driving through the new housing development in Congleton emphasises this as it just looks like a concrete jungle with no character or soul. It looks ugly and drives home the impact of building on greenbelt.

Cheshire East is planning to build on its greenbelt so why are they not holding onto its heritage. Once its gone, its gone forever. Jodrell Bank is under threat to close.
Farmland is earmarked to be built on destroying working farms, loss of jobs, local food and milk production.

There will be smaller areas of rural villages if Cheshire East have the plan to develop more houses on greenbelt.

It is appalling that Cheshire East made the decision to close local tips reducing it down to one site in Macclesfield for all to use. If new housing developments to go ahead this service will be inadequate.
