All areas of Peatland should immediately be protected. Building on then would be detrimental to climate change, biodiversity, and the management of water in the area. Potentially leading to flooding in unexpected places. Not to mention, as another outdoor space for the wellbeing of the residents.

The Local plan should not just encourage active travel, it must be a fundamental part of it. I was disappointed to see at a new development, with all the roadworks and modifications, there was no improvement to cycling or walking infrastructure. There are local shops near by that could be easily nipped to on a bike. But instead people will chose to use a car.
Improvements can be made by changing speed limits, adding better directions, dropped kerbs, removing obstacles, and even paint (which i'm not a fan of). It does not all have to be expensive infrastructure.

Cheshire East has areas of Peatland that must not be developed. This would cause irreparable damage to a site that could help fight climate change. Peatland stores a significant amount of carbon for its area. much more than even a rain forest!

Restoring peatlands, adding more trees within our towns, and improving active travel should be part of this list.

All peatland areas must be excluded from development. Any damage to these areas would have a significant impact in raising carbon emissions. Some restoration work and they could actively help to reduce carbon emissions.

This is all good. research should include what has been done in other countries as well. Rather than just what we are told can or rather cannot work in the UK.

Jodrell Bank should continue to get support. Not just as a heritage site, but as inspiration for science and understanding of the world.
