Chelford already has 200 plus new houses over the last number of years.An increase of 41% is unrealistic,not withstanding the government plans.Chelford is a village and the locals do not want it to become a town.

There should be no development on greenbelt land.The country should be more self sufficient and building on this fertile land makes that impossible.

Green belt land must not be used for urban sprawl.There is a huge likely hood of flooding which is already prevalent in the area and increasing worldwide.

Any recent developments in the area have always stated there must be an element of affordable housing.This is out of the reach of most property purchases in Chelford.

As previously mentioned,there should be no further development in Chelford.Two brown field sites have already been developed providing in excess of 200 houses putting pressure on local services(school,surgery and Macclesfield hospital).

Chelford railway station is inadequate for any increase in housing.Also there is a very irregular bus service available.

There is already too much pressure on the local health services.An increase in numbers would have a detrimental effect on the already under pressure services.
