It would be a real loss to the area if anything were to cause the closure of jodrell bank, its a significant landmark and attraction. Securing further funding should be a priority.

As there are already areas across Cheshire east that experience water supply issues, what is being done to increase water availability, and to meet increased demand? Are solar panels and rain water harvesting being mandated on new houses for example?

Macclesfield town centre is in dire need of investment and support. Town centre residential spaces could help bring a bit of life back, along with the associated leisure activities that could go with them.

Fossil fuels need to be a thing of the past, we should not be extracting anything like that. Peat is a rapidly vanishing environment and carbon sink that must be preserved and protected

Landfill is the bottom of the waste heirarchy. We should not be creating new Landfill sites. There are incinerators in the region with energy recovery, could they not be used? More staff are needed to cope with the bin collections as many areas are already experiencing missed collections, plus congestion issues at the macclesfield HWRC.

The roads are in a very poor condition. Potholes not addressed. Temporary roadworks pop up with no/ short notice causing chaos. Traffic throughout macclesfield is terrible and at busy times I can go through the whole town and not get out of first gear! the road markings and layout are unintuitive. any new housing needs to be properly traffic managed

Our region is beautiful and contains ecologically significant areas. Protecting and enhancing our wildlife, green spaces and areas of natural beauty should be an absolute priority. No housing need is more important than that!
