Safety is closely coupled to the issues of traffic density and traffic speed, especially in residential areas, and also the problem of youth unemployment, again particularly in residential areas.
Domestic and neighbourhood abuse is clearly exacerbated by the fear of reprisal and the lack of response from policing. Any local plan should cover for example incentives for citizen reporting, and greater use of part-time, local, and volunteer policing.

We need to see far greater incentives to promote active travel, and disincentives for 'inactive' personal travel. Of course this should all be linked to a comprehensive public transport policy.

A top priority issue, especially given the insufficient action by national government. We need to see the Climate Change study as part of the consultation.

It is impossible for individuals to properly read, digest, and comment on the huge number of documents. probably the only way to fairly and democratically deal with this is to convene a citizens assembly with a number of expert facilitators.

My overriding comment is that the current consultation procedure will exclude the vast majority of those residents who are likely to be the most adversely affected. Ie those without the time or knowledge to study, digest and comment on this vast plan and all the associated documents. In other words this consultation will be woefully defective.
One proposal to address this would be to convene a properly stratified and incentivised citizens assembly, informed and facilitated by recognised and trusted experts.

I do not see how this current consultation is in any way inclusive. I am lucky to be retired and with available 'free' time, and use of a computer in a separate private study. The majority of our population is not so fortunate.
Unless there is a way of truly engaging our more busy or disadvantaged residents, this will be merely an exercise in ticking the 'public consultation' box.
