This submission is on behalf of the Protect Lindow residents group who are campaigning to return the site, LPS 59, back to green belt due to its ecological and archeological importance. This site should be added to the local list to recognise its archeological significance due to the high potential (because of its geology) that it contains "bog bodies" like Lindow Man. It also contains distinctive moss room that date back to the middle ages when peat was being cut. A similar landscape north of Row of Trees is listed in the sites and monuments record (SMR 1393).
