The actual composition of facilities in local service centres needs to be considered when policy is reviewed. Ensure that any local developments under consideration will not overwhelm the infrastructure and available facilities eg doctor's surgery and school just because it is designated as a local service centre.

Carefully limit developments outside settlement boundaries where the size and scale of the development would be damaging relative to the size of the existing village or town. Latest NPPF and presumption to approve sustainable housing seems to adopt a one size fits all policy for housing where an unmet housing need (as CE) has been established irrespective of location of proposed development

Avoid allocating sites just meet the 10% targets. If its an inappropriate site don't take it forward. Targets will change, bad planning decisions will live on for decades.
