I formally object to the 291.03-hectare Ashley submission in Cheshire East SHELAA (12 sites). These sites must be classified as unsuitable and Undeliverable.
I have been a resident in Ashley now for over 30 years and I wish to put my strongest opposition to this because this proposal would completely destroy the character of Ashley. I & my family, live in a small rural village with a station that barely runs an hourly service, so calling it well connected feels untrue. Every Road into Ashley crosses a narrow bridge, and the thought of heavy traffic, or should I say MORE heavy traffic pouring along them is very frightening. This beautiful Green Belt countryside & productive farmland, surrounded by wildlife, historic buildings & peaceful landscape would be lost forever.
For all the reasons set out above I respectfully request Cheshire East Council:

1. Record ALL 12 contiguous parcels, 291.03-hectares, as unsuitable & undeliverable within the SHELAA assessment.
2. Do not identify the land as preferred or potential strategic housing allocation with the Local Plan review.
3. Do not treat the land as appropriate "Grey Belt "release opportunity.
4. Exclude the 12 parcels from future Local Plan allocations on the basis of:

A. Incompatibility with spatial settlement hierarchy and national planning rules.
B. Severe traffic generation on unsafe, narrow rural roads. The main arteries to the village cross very narrow bridges & many farm machines are used daily.
C. Harm to Green Belt openness and merging of distinct towns/villages.
D. Permanent loss of Best and Most Versatile (BMV) agricultural land.
E. Harm to the setting of Grade II listed buildings and Local Landscape Designations.
F. Absence of core infrastructure (schools, healthcare, utilities, deep drainage).
