Local plan scoping consultation

I am objecting to the 291.03 hectare Ashley submission for the development of 11,000 houses in the Cheshire East SHELAA.
My reasons are as follows:
1. This is a highly protected area of Green Belt and also prevents the development of urban sprawl in South Manchester.
2. There is little existing infrastructure in this area in the way of schools, medical facilities and transport networks which are all overstretched in the local area now.
3. The surrounding roads are not suitable for any increase in traffic. The rural lanes and 2 narrow railway bridges heading into Bowdon are difficult to navigate now due to the number of blind bends and road width. The recent accident where a cyclist has been knocked off his bicycle by a passing car only goes to show how dangerous this road can be.
4. This area is under the flight path for Manchester airport so not suitable for high density housing development due to the noise and safety concerns.
5. There is a lack of all utilities but in particular sewers and grids for increased surface drainage which would lead to a high chance of flooding in the Bollin valley.
6. This area is presently high grade agricultural land and other less productive areas should be considered first.
7. This development would harm the local environment particularly in the Bollin Valley, Tatton and Rostherne parks and Cotterill Clough Nature Reserve which includes ancient woodlands, protected species corridors and the setting of19 Grade 2 listed buildings.
In light of the above I request that East Cheshire formerly classify this 291.03 hectare area as Unsuitable and Undeliverable in the SHELAA assessment.
