I live in the area and am concerned that the New Local Plan process does not yet clearly explain how overlapping site submissions will be assessed, how cumulative impacts on infrastructure and services will be considered, or when residents will be able to review and comment on the supporting evidence. I am seeking a more transparent process before preferred sites are chosen around Leighton and Church Minshull. Key concerns include unclear site boundaries and references, the risk of land being counted twice for development and mitigation purposes, the need for a comprehensive assessment of cumulative impacts, publication of assessment methodologies and evidence, and meaningful opportunities for public engagement before decisions are made.
