As a resident of (redacted) in Macclesfield, we object to the impact of the local plan on Green Belt land near our home on (redacted) for the following reasons:

- development of brownfield and greenfield sites before considering the development of Green Belt land

- the removal,of the Green Belt will have a significant and negative visual impact on the landscape and character of the sure areas of Macclesfield

- the Green Belt is an important buffer and visual transition between the built environment and open countryside

- the Green Belt protects the landscape, particularly where Green Belt land is topographically elevated and where built development will be particularly dominant
