I object to further housing development in Haslington, where I have been a resident for over 50 years. The village has experienced substantial growth, particularly significant development since 2021. All existing, approved and proposed developments should be assessed cumulatively. Before allocating further housing, Cheshire East Council should demonstrate adequate capacity in local schools, GP and NHS dental services, roads, drainage and sewage infrastructure. Traffic assessments must reflect real conditions on Crewe Road and Crewe Green Roundabout. New development must protect green spaces, wildlife and countryside. Suitable brownfield land should be prioritised, with infrastructure provided alongside, rather than after, further housing growth.
