Against site submission for land west of Cooksmere Lane near Sandbach, It will result in the loss of Best and Most Versatile agricultural land, contrary to paragraph 26 of the Natural Environment National Planning Policy Guidance. One refusal for a previous applications for sites within this area stated: “It is considered that as the proposal is principally unacceptable, both in terms of local policy and sustainability grounds, there is no viable solution able to be reached that overcomes the environmental harm identified.” The increase in traffic which cannot be supported on local roads and will further exacerbate air pollution.
