Development around Adlington must not be done piecemeal the combined effect of multiple sites must be considered. Greenbelt farmland is not empty land. Its preservation is essential for food security and is integral to the character of Adlington. The farmers of Adlington have been treated abominably by Bellport, Cheshire East should have nothing to do with them. The existing countryside in Adlington is essential to farming businesses and rural livelihoods. Its importance as wildlife habitat cannot be over emphasised. We must play our part in providing food security, and farm houses and farm buildings are vital infrastructure.
