Local plan scoping consultation

In recent years, experience of planning for housing and employment developments has been a stark illustration of the fact that there is inadequate attention to local infrastructure prior to developments being approved and subsequently the problems created are generally never resolved. So we are left with a situation of inadequate healthcare provision, inadequate school places, inadequate public transport provision, inadequate traffic management, poor town centre parking etc etc. in addition the rural, farming identity of this part of Cheshire is rapidly being eroded to the detriment of environmental well being. Therefore in moving forward with a new local plan for Cheshire East I believe there should be a thorough assessment of what level of development can be supported effectively in each area with an honest assessment of how changes will impact on the future well being of existing stakeholders.
Furthermore there should be basic principle adopted that absolutely no green land will be given over to development until EVERY brownfield site in the county has been utilised. The erosion of our country side cannot be allowed to continue at the current rate.
