Avoid building on peatland to keep carbon sequestered - climate change a major issue
Value and Protect irreplaceable habitats, such as ancient woodland, lowland raised bog.
Protect wildlife sites and ensure robust environmental protections to prevent further biodiversity loss. These should be key considerations in decision making. Objectives and priorities of the LNRS should always inform decision-making.
