I strongly object to the proposed development in Ashley. Ashley is a small rural community with limited services, no bus routes and only hourly train services. The roads are narrow, unlit with little or no pavements, and only narrow bridge access from most directions. The infrastructure is unsustainable for development. Ashley is a vital green belt buffer to local areas, highly valuable agricultural land with protected flora and fauna, and numerous listed buildings. The council should reject these plans entirely.
