Re site 4376 (land East of Poynton). It is clear from NPP guidance that this site can only be considered green belt, not grey, and is therefore non-developable. This is supported by the Town Council heritage assessment and independent drainage and ecology surveys. This large area is adjacent to the ancient woodland of Poynton Coppice and any development would compromise the setting and special character of the area which provides access to countryside for all Poynton residents and provides habitat for a range of wildlife including badgers, foxes, buzzards and owls. It also serves as pastureland for farm animals.
