Local plan scoping consultation

I object to extensive green belt land being offered for development in the Adlington area. The proposed new town was only stopped by extensive opposition and despite a badly worded letter. The landowners now hope for profit at the expense of farmers who actively work the land but have only medieval rights. CEC should not collude with the disgusting treatment of tenant farmers, nor should it sacrifice our remaining skimpy green belt. Flooding, lack of water provision and other infrastructure as well as destruction of biodiversity are well documented. The landowners are only interested in profit. CEC should comply with the clear public opinion and safeguard green belt at all costs.
