I object to the proposed 291 hectare development across 12 parcels of land in Ashley. This is Green Belt, not Grey Belt, playing a crucial role in preventing urban sprawl, preserving the countryside separation between Greater Manchester and Cheshire, and protecting productive agricultural land. Ashley is a small rural community with limited services, restricted transport links and constrained road access via narrow bridges. A development of this scale would be unsustainable, placing significant pressure on traffic, infrastructure and drainage , while harming valued landscapes, wildlife habitats and listed buildings. Green Belt protection should remain and the site should be rejected.
