Local plan scoping consultation

By population, Poynton is now classed as a town, however its services, facilities and infrastructure remain as it was 20 years ago when it was still classed a village.

There is no regard for the impact on the communities of Poynton & Bramhall (barely 2 miles away) nor on the impact on the hospitals (Stepping Hill & Macclesfield), GPs, dentists, healthcare centres, transport, schools, sewers, drainage, flooding, postal deliveries …… the list is endless.

Infrastructure and services need expanding NOW, not on a 10/15 year promise. Planning permission for these new housing developments must be put on hold until a plan to immediately address the overstretched infrastructure & services is in place and executed.

These developments must be put on hold until significant increases in local services are implemented.
