I want to object to the 291-hectare land submitted around Ashley. Our village has no services, no buses and a station with just one train an hour, making it impossible to call Ashley “well connected”. Every road into the village crosses a narrow bridge, so any large development would create serious congestion and safety problems. To add the influx of traffic issues this development would cause. The land is all Green Belt and productive farmland, and the area includes sensitive landscapes, wildlife habitats and listed heritage buildings that would be permanently damaged. This site is completely unsuitable and should be removed
from consideration.
