Local plan scoping consultation

We are Cheshire East residents in Adlington and are responding to the above local plan scoping consultation.
We are extremely concerned about any future development in Adlington and the surrounding villages (in particular Poynton). Not only will we lose our local countryside, we are very worried about inadequate infrastructure. Many large developments recently built locally (including Woodford) have not provided new schools or doctors surgeries, which is already putting a huge strain on the local communities. For example, Woodford Garden Village development has provided a primary school which is already oversubscribed, as it is only one form entry. Senior state schools in the areas of Bramhall, Poynton and Macclesfield are at full capacity, so what are the future plans for children age 11 plus?
Stepping Hill Hospital and Macclesfield Hospital have very long waiting times in the A&E departments and the operation waiting time lists are already extremely long. With an ageing population this is very worrying. Should further developments be built, what are the plans to ease this situation?

Local countryside where we can ‘escape’ to walk/exercise to increase good health and mental health, is very important to us. Views across fields, watching the wildlife and benefiting from the hard work from the local farmers are so important.
Why is greenbelt land being constantly targeted when there are plenty of brownfield sites in the area (particularly Macclesfield) which could be used for new housing (if adequate infrastructure is put in place)?

Poynton is already suffering from the recent new housing developments and plans for further developments will exacerbate the current problems with lack of new schools and medical centres and the strains the local hospitals are facing.
Traffic problems will worsen if more developments are planned. The Poynton relief road and Manchester Airport Eastern Link road will not cope with further traffic.

Does this new local plan have ‘plans’ to put infrastructure in place before any developments are finished? There are often promises of extra schools and medical centres which never come to fruition.
What are the plans for extra public transport? Sewerage and drainage are huge concerns too. Adlington and Poynton areas already suffer from flooding after heavy rain and the bypass is regularly flooded after a relatively small amount of rain.
Will the local plan protect working farms? We need to support food production and farming businesses.

Can the council demonstrate that all local brownfield sites/previously developed land have been considered?
Also, will residents be given opportunities to comment as the Plan develops?
