Valuable sites of special interest should not be routinely destroyed unless all other options to meet housing targets have been explored first.
Cheshire East should be required to produce evidence that they have done this as a necessary prerequisite to any development.
To do otherwise is a betrayal of public sentiment and will and a failure of service. It is little short of environmental vandalism!
