Local plan scoping consultation

I felt that it was important to comment on this proposal from a resident of Hale who loves this part of the country and is extremely concerned by the negative impact this will cause to the are.
The protection of the green belt is crucial in an ever increasing, sprawling urban mass that is south Manchester. How can these numbers of homes and the amount of space being suggested be even possibly considered. When will the continual spread ever stop? What farmland and greenery will be left?
Also our amenities and social facilities are already under extreme pressure for schools, doctors, dentists and so how can these numbers be accommodated without any proposals for support.
However, one of the main questions is around the rail and road network that service this area. Ashley station is tiny and only has 1 train an hour how will that work. Also the roads are narrow and limited so what impact will this proposal have on the transport network??
It just doesn’t feel like any real thought has been put to this other than through the £s lense. The residents of areas around here already pay a large amount in terms of taxes and this will only further increase these pressures. Shocking and very disappointing proposal with no thought to the local residents.
