National policy only needs to be considered. There is no requirement for it to be followed especially where significant conservation areas are concerned such as Danes Moss.

More green belt sites need to be identified to incorporate and give greater protection to important natural environments, their surrounds and connecting corridors. Danes Moss would be a good example connecting it to other wetland sites such as Sutton, Bosley and the Dane Valley.
