Local plan scoping consultation

Dear Sirs,
I write to object formally to the plans submitted for the allocation of the land around Ashley (12 adjoining sites totalling 291.03 hectares) to housing development.
The arguments against this are in my opinion compelling. I realise that you must rightly and properly assess every application on its merits. I recognise that we are short of housing in the UK and that this email may suggest “Nimbyism”.
But I respectfully submit that this application has no merit and should be rejected unconditionally.
Amongst the most cogent reasons to deny this application are in my respectful opinion:
The area is productive farmland. I struggle to see how this area of land could conceivably be considered as grey belt if assessed against the Government Guidance on Green Belt development.
The transport infrastructure is inadequate at present. The roads in this area are all small country lanes. Traffic already moves slowly. There are a lot of cyclists which further slow down the traffic. If houses were to be built here new roads would be required. It is difficult to see where these could lead to unless it is Wilmslow Road. This would mean expansion of the scheme beyond the limits encompassed in the application. And Wilmslow Road is already a busy road at peak times.
I understand that the local schools are already oversubscribed. Would new schools be built alongside the development?
In the light of the above I formally request that you reject this application.
