The ‘Homes for everyone topic paper’, is a great basis as section 3.10 is still vitally important. Currently within Macclesfield/Congleton there is a lack of later living housing provision to support people to live independently for longer.
Section 4.17 should be included within the next local plan, currently young people and older people are forced to move from their local community due to lack of affordable or appropriate housing within rural communities. Lack of public transport links is also a barrier in rural communities, when older people can no longer drive, they are forced to move from their local community.
