I strongly object to proposed development due to its potential to fundamentally change Ashley’s rural character and way of life. Such extensive development would place enormous pressure on local roads, drainage schools, healthcare, public transport and essential infrastructure. It would increase traffic, congestion, noise and pollution while placing strain on limited local services. The loss of open countryside agricultural land would also have a significant environmental impact, reducing biodiversity, wildlife habitats and the natural landscape that makes Ashley distinctive. This scale of development risks creating urban sprawl, eroding the parish identity and placing unreasonable burden on residents and future generations.
