Towns and villages need to be differentiated by Green Belt countryside. Andy Burnham talks about building upwards and that focus needs to turn to flats and apartments within the Town Centres to better achieve Central Govt targets .

We need to focus on Brown sites first and foremost rather than destroy the natural Greenbelt that differentiates the Towns and villages in the area . Its time that local people with local views stood up to some half baked tick box Central Govt policy for nothing more than vote catching purposes. If Andy Burnham wants 2500 houses pa in Cheshire East and talks of building upwards then flats in Town Centres are the answer not smashing up the Countryside and this nonsense called greybelt

The road infrastructure between Prestbury, Alderley Edge and Macclesfield is simply not adequate for the new proposals. We have areas locally that don't even have a gas supply which is 3rd World thinking . Many roads have no pavements for people to walk to/from work or school. Building in rural greenbelt and you have no local Schools , Medical facilities or shops . Focus on the Brown sites thankyou .
