I strongly object to the Ashley Call For Sites proposal on the basis of:
- Significant increase in road traffic on unsafe & narrow rural roads, often used by cyclists
- Harm to Green Belt land, and the removal of residential buffer zone between Hale & Knutsford, resulting in the merging of distinct towns/villages
- This open working farmland does not meet the Grey Belt land test
- The permanent loss of top-tier Best and Most Versatile (BMV) agricultural land
- There is a complete lack of core infrastructure in the Ashley area (schools, healthcare, utilities, deep drainage).
