Local plan scoping consultation

I strongly object to the potential development of sites 7, 8 and 9 around Alsager. These fields are regularly used by local residents for walking and are an important area of open countryside, with no comparable local green space available for the community. I regularly see hedgehogs and bats using these areas, demonstrating their wildlife value. Development would result in the loss and fragmentation of important habitat and recreational walking routes, as well as increasing pressure on local roads and infrastructure. I ask that the Council gives significant weight to the protection of these green spaces, wildlife and established walking routes and fully assesses their ecological, environmental, recreational and cumulative impact before considering any allocation.
