For the attention of the planning team

I am not sure if I am able to object to plans in Cheshire since I am a Trafford resident (living in a fairly ordinary house) but would like to express how much the destruction of the green belt land to the south of the Bollin would mean to me.

I know that it might not be considered special, it’s not an area of outstanding natural beauty or an SSSI, just pleasant rolling farmland. But it is so greatly appreciated by locals on both sides of the river and the paths and lanes always have a steady stream of walkers with or without dogs. If you go there you will see how well worn the paths are and how many cheerful people you will meet just enjoying the fresh air. It is a haven from our normal urban environment of Greater Manchester.

I am aware that Tatton estates have already got permission to use their land for a new service station so a huge area of agricultural land will be concreted over and during the past few years they have tried to develop the Ashley Hall site as a concert venue. I do not believe that their principle motivation for all these projects is the good of the community, however they try to spin it.

In summary I cannot imagine an area of land which would qualify more precisely as green belt, surely it deserves protecting.
