Local plan scoping consultation

Dear Cheshire East Local Plan Team,

I am writing to formally record my objections to the proposed development allocations in and around Alsager within the Cheshire East Local Plan Scoping Consultation.

The local area is already suffering from significant infrastructure deficits, and adding further developments will exacerbate these issues for existing residents:

Utility Reliability: Alsager suffers from frequent service interruptions and ongoing repair work on both the water and electricity networks. The existing supply grid and pipework are unable to reliably support current demand.

Highways and Traffic Management: Local roads are severely degraded with potholes, while poorly planned and mismanaged roadworks cause continuous disruption throughout the town.

Waste Collection Services: Basic council services are already failing to keep pace, with many parts of Alsager experiencing weekly missed bin collections.

Essential Public Services: Local primary schools, comprehensive schools, GP surgeries, and care homes are already at or near full capacity. The current town infrastructure cannot support additional population growth without compromising access to essential services.

These critical infrastructure problems must be resolved before any further site allocations in Alsager are considered. Please ensure my objections are formally logged prior to the consultation deadline.
