Local plan scoping consultation

I understand that Cheshire East are currently preparing a new local plan which will review the potential for building in the Green Belt area opposite my house.

This area has been considered before and rejected for development as this would have a very negative effect on the visual aspect from the town and surrounding area. I see no reason to change this decision.

There are several brownfield and greenfield sites in the town which, if developed would have far less detrimental effect on the town than land off Blakelow Road.

Very many people enjoy a walk along Blakelow Road with it’s open aspect and closeness to the town. Walking through houses would no way have the same beneficial effect on our local residents. Cheshire East should place very highly the health and well-being of its residents

Cheshire East should never consider losing one of its greatest assets – the beautiful countryside up to Teggs Nose Country Park.

So, in the new plan, please leave the area off Blakelow Road as it is.
